hi guys did dodge make a 3 window coupe in the late 20s early 30s ? could i find one easily? or are they rare? thanks
Pretty sure I've seen a mopar 3w from that era for sale in Australia a few years ago. Didn't take any notice of lhd or rhd though. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/index.php?threads/My '47 3W Dodge build..960954/ My build.
Helped a friend sell a 1928 Dodge 3 window coupe a few years back, depending on the year most were 3 window coupes, 1926-29. Dodges were basic until you get into the Chrysler's & Plymouths. 30's Mopars made a lot of different models, 3 window & 5 window. They are still out there, not is desirable as the Fords so you can pick them up reasonable. I'm building a 30' Chrysler 3 window coupe.
Yes, there were 3 window coupes from Dodge in 1931. My two 1931 Dodge brothers business coupes.....The 1931s are tough to find.
Here's my '27 DB for sale if interested. They are very rare and parts almost impossible to find. Mine is all steel. call me at 440 231 2318 if interested
i am now officially looking for one of these. it will be my next build. von mopar how about a few more pics. im really liking that car how much of a chop is on that
Oh....there are quite a few more of the 1931 DB coupes than just 20 left. I have a file folder of more than that. Most are rods.
I have about fifty-one 1931 Dodge Brothers coupes in my file of current cars. They range from originals to hot rods and some parts cars. I would imagine that there are a few more I have not come across, yet. When i started working on my first one at 13 years old, I knew of four of them and they were not all coupes. The internet has revealed many more than those first 4 I knew about.
Just as an aside, they were called "business coupes". The term Doctor's coupe" was from other companies.
I am using an old McPhearson "The Story of Dodge" that lists Doctors coupes in the 20s. looks like they are leather backs from the pics.
