Bought this car almost road worthy with a sbc and th350 needed exhaust and a few odds and ends I decided it need a little more get up and go after finding a pair of borla stainless mufflers that came off a Shelby carbon fiber race car we had at a body shop that replaced the whole exhaust . So after tax return I jammed a quickfuel 750 blow thru and v3 vortech super charger on this stock fresh rebuilt motor to see what it could take ha ha the engine bay put up a little fight but a few cuts later she fit Also put some fresh steels on her with some fresh rubber from a trade on some work on a buddy's car Then this winter did some stripping and paint work on the roof and am close to re spraying the body Had a friend lay out the stripes and do the paint on the roof we had some time in it but I think it turned out very nice . Warm weather is almost here so I've decided to hold off on the body and tape it all off and spray a flat copper on it for the mean time to make it presentable till I can really take the time and money to redo the rest of the car the way it deserves thanks for looking and let me know what you all think !
Great car, those wheels look good on it, and made a big difference. Nice work on the paint job also, looks great. Look forward to seeing what else you do to it.
I LOVE 50 Pontiacs. I'd like to find a 50 coupe some day. Nice job, Joshua. Your choice in wheels and tires is impecabble. Here's a photo of my old 48 fastback
Here's an up date ready for summer Got a pair of decent bumpers from a guy in Cali for $500 shipped really helped the car and also decided to buzz the body down and give it a prey spray job on the body and I have to say not to hateful thanks to my buddy Anthony knows how to lay out the acrylic enamel . It was supposed to be flat on the body we put a shitload of flattener in it and this is what I have ha ha I'm ok with it this is just till I get the motivation to strip the body and redo it
I like it! Kinda weird with dark red [maroon] and brown but it looks really nice. The paint texture kinda looks like an old original lacquer paint job that's been pampered through the years... How's the blower work? A local guy was selling a 49 fastback with original copper paint...looked amazingly like your paint.
It works great took a stock small block and woke it right up . Only running around 5 psi at the moment afraid to push more boost on this motor but well worth the money . No one can believe how it moves out
Roof looks awesome! Any way I could get you to post some pics of your trans and motor mounts? Im currently doing the same thing to my 50 poncho. Thanks. Wish I had that supercharger LOL lucky dog!
Will do man . The front motor mounts we made out of flat stock to accommodate for the charger bracket so it's solid mounted on the cross member . The teams mount is just box tubing someone made before I got it . When I got the car it had the pin and bushing style motor mounts like a 55 Chevy that bolts thru the front crossmember And I had just replaced one side for the bracket but the motors making a little to much power and was sitting cockeyed after the first summer with the huffer so we did the other side and no more issues .
