  2. Looks good man! I actually dig overall proportions/shape of the tractor(?) grill on it... Keep it up!

Ya know Ray the grille has grown on me. Wasn't liking it at first but it is really coming together with the car. I admire your youthful enthusiasm. Had some once myself but must have mislaid it with my glasses and car keys.

Guys like you inspire guys like me John. You've earned your ol' timer status.

I don't know about the grill yet either. In just using what I have. Maybe I'll hack out the center and make a grill later. Gonna wait till I make the hood to decide.

Are those "Woodlites"?? Holy Crap!! That's gonna be one high end race car ,bud. ( you better WELD those on!!) Grille is good to go-you just need more tape to finish the other side of your hood!! All joking aside ( momentarily), car is a direct reflection of it's owner- SICK!! But I didn't expect less- rock on, Brother! ( I do think it needs that "Model A" fire extinguisher, yes??)

Bought some seat backs. Cut the bottoms off and started working on the fitment.

Are you going to let them rise above the deck line? Hope so because I think they look like they belong that way.

Just read this thread all the way through. Some very nice touches. I like the grill. Looking forward to seeing the finished car. Stuck on my own 27 at the moment because of too many customers projects so all I can do is enjoy threads like this. Subscribed.

I gotta agree with the Grand Wizard on this one- in keeping with the aerodynamic effect in the build so far. Sticking up higher than the body line creates "sleekus-interuptus" ( term coined by Enzo Ferrari) I think you should call it The "Silver Dart" after Capt. Midnight's rocketship. (From the 50's.)

So Nicky came up last night and we started on the hood. We made some aluminum hood sides. Then a template for the top. ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1434208417.901292.jpg ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1434208428.838050.jpg ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1434208440.182182.jpg

After some cutting and rolling we're on our way to a full hood. A little more trimming and metal working and it should work out. ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1434208554.000749.jpg ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1434208587.584596.jpg
