Tim makes a really good point, Kathy, which I take to be that a full-fendered '34 5-window isn't going to be nearly as sexy in wide-whites and skirts as the full-fendered 3-window you've used as an example of your ideas. And that maybe a "tuff-er" image would be more appropriate to the model. Certainly a good point to ponder...

I lapped all day and had one exhaust valve that I couldnt get to seat! Still trying to get engine to break free before I decide what I'm going to put in her.

Axle is a tad too wide for me. Going w a dropped A...that will pull the wheels in 3"s total.... IMAG3081.jpg

It will be interesting to see how it looks with the wheels a little more inside the fenders. From what I can see from the pics I like the look, but not seeing it in the real you're probably right. Dumb question, is the paint finish satin?

Good move, Kathy. If you go with an early custom look you'll need room for tall 16" whitewalls inside the fenders which it doesn't have now, or if you go with a nose-down look you'll have room to drop the fenders down over the "littles" to get the look you want but without tire clearance issues.

It's not at all uncommon to see finished early cars (later model cars, too) with really unattractive stances - the front end being 'way too high - to get the tire clearance needed to actually drive the car. The common solution of using wheels with huge backspacing to compensate for an axle that is too wide just looks like butt. Planning ahead is good. Carry on!

At least I have the clearance now. If i decide I dont like it, I have another axle that will bring it back out. Those are 14" wheels.
That is John Deere primer on there...lol IMAG3086.jpg

Not much to show, but I pulled out a rear end, cleaned it up and rebuilt the brakes. Ready for welding!
    Now onto the rear spring. IMAG3096.jpg IMAG3098.jpg IMAG3101.jpg IMAG3100.jpg
