Hello all. I Need know will a 55 chevy 235 harmonic balancer fit/work on a 1952 chevy 235 and vice versa?
The original on the 52 was 5/8" but I bought a new Water pump from oreilly with a 3/8" and also put a new dual grove harmonic balancer with 3/8 along with 3/8 alternator pulley the 55 is 3/8 also. I'm switching out engines and need the dual grove on the 55 and want to put the 55 on the old engine the one from the 55 is bigger than the one from the 52 I'm sure it will fit put just wondering if it would throw anything off being a different size
It's been about a year and a half now since this post. Have you noticed any issues with the different size dampers? I'm about to drop a '58 motor in my '51 and am thinking about using my '51 235 damper
