I'm excited that the South East Gassers are returning to Knoxville Dragstrip. Rain got them last time, but I'm hoping for great weather and an awesome turnout. I haven't seen a post about it on here (I could've missed it, I suppose), but just wanted to spread the word. Quain Stott and his crew have an awesome program, and Knoxville Dragstrip is one of the best hooking tracks in the area, so there should be a lot of wheels up action. Supposed to be at least 16 period correct gassers, including Quain Stott's '41 Willys, Gene Cromer's Moonlighter Willys, and many more. Here's what I know about it: Knoxville Dragstrip 160 Raceway Drive Maynardville, TN 37807 865-992-9995 Saturday, May 30th--Gates open at 1pm, time trials at 2pm and Gasser qualifying starts at 4pm Admission is $10, kids under 10 are free I'm going to be there shooting photos...who else is coming???
I might try to drive up. sounds like it should be a good show. Is it just gassers or are there other classes as well?
Tn. Trash, they will also have a regular Super Pro and Footbrake bracket race program running throughout the day. Grand total is up to 20 gassers pre-entered. Should be a good show!
