Saw this on Mr Google. Mentions both names of the same car and says 1952.
Grille looks a little different, but body looks same.

This page however calls it the Packard Macauley Speedster. Year given of 1952.

Neat looking piece of machinery though. I would love one.

    regards,Rod

  8. Walpolla, I saw the double name on conceptcarz too :)- don't have a copy of the Kimes history on Packard, but if I remember correctly, the McCauley was never mentioned as the Panther, simply the McCauley Packard.

I hesitated to use the conceptcarz blurb, because of the mistakes, but that was the first one I could find :D

  9. Most likely, I love the little caravans, so charming.

Damn!----I know my roadster was in the thick of lakes racing, but never knew who owned it back then.
All the pix shown here, it could have been one of them, when I bought the body, frame, & 4 fenders in 1962, it came from city of Orange,Ca.
The body looked like most of the '32's in these pix, filled in cowl, side lights, door handles, '39 teardrop rear lights, license plate holes between the teardrops, & large roll bar mounts in the trunk.
Six years of building when we lived in Torrance, Ca.
Removing all body paint down to bare metal, it revealed red, yellow, maroon, & the original Ford green.

Looks like 1936/7 Hudson Terraplane . I've seen pickups but never sedan deliveries.

These sportsmen have a '60 Ford 2-door Country Sedan that I am more envious of than their load of birds.
