Thats a stunner! the only thing I don't care for is the top of the doors, but everything else is spot on. Also, this would look great with a Carson top.

The maroon with the copper finished metals is pretty cool - betting we see that 'done' at some point. Beautiful cars :)

This shows you can make a silk purse out of a sow's ear.
I do like the cut down doors but, I can see a gentleman slip over the cutdown to enter, but what about the proper woman in her pencil shirt?

Some of Coachcraft's earlier custom work seemed to emulate the Cord. Not a bad car to emulate from that era (or any other).I tend to like the the later examples of their work.

It's these history lessons that only with the passing of time, do all the answers be revealed. Look at the 53 eldo in my avatar. Same concept exactly. (except for dechroming).
The hamb needs more stuff like this. Thanks.

There's still doors, I think, you can see the outline in the color photos.

Yes, that does look good together... I visited the Gilmore recently, and they have an old Pierce Arrow that was custom built ages ago, and it was also in burgundy with brass trim. I'll see if I can embed a photo.... So, there's really nothing new under the sun. I'd like to see it again on a new build...
