I'm looking forward to the progress reports, appreciate the comments you made on my build but never thanked you- I do like the start.
I could not remember how to upload pics last night, could have been the Miller Lite? Out with the old and in with the new rear end. Ford 8" and free! Needed to finish up the rear frame. This is a pet peeve area for me on these trucks, so I wanted a nice sweep. And right back where I started the day! Hoping to finalize stance today May have to do a small c notch to get the rearend down. Think I have a model T rear spring and crossmember that should help?
Welcome back! I'm glad your back at this truck, because i'm going to steal some more of your ideas . I bought some sheet metal parts for my truck from this place and they fit pretty close and were ok with a little work. http://www.alfaparts.net/ford32.htm
Nice build! I too got my rear cab corners and lower rear cab wall from these guys... http://www.alfaparts.net/ford32.htm. I was pretty happy with the fitment. Just needed a little finess to get them perfect.
Got the ladder bars tacked in place Bent up the Dodge shock mounts. I'm digging it! Got to be enough scraps for a crossmember Yup! Done with the crossmember Lost parts means - make some brackets! Tanya came over to help. Check out those muscles - she'll kick your ass! The metal shavings look like Tanyas hair when it raining! Me likes it! One more final check before welding it up this morning!
Kisum, I'm liking the looks of the truck. I somewhat followed the build on the hemi coupe. You probably stated but I can't remember. Are you a welder by trade? One of the best welders I ever had work for me was a lady! Nice job and keep the pictures coming. I'm in on vacation and working on a 28 closed cab truck. Nice job. TP
No I'm not a welder by trade and am self taught. My Dad was a bodyman and I set on a milk crate and watched everything he did. I worked as operator in plants for years and learned a lot. I am now a pipeline controller, but cars and bikes are my passion!
I was thinking about you a Tuffy the other day... wondered where you been? Good to see progress on the pu!!! Looks great!!!
I hate to be captain buzz kill here but Tanya should really be wearing glasses. I really like what you ladies are doing and just want you all to be able to SEE the finished product. The chips in here hair could very well end up in her eyes. Keep up the good work but please be safe.
Cool. I've thought about doing the same thing with my '34 truck, A box and all. Thanks for the guide. It's gunna be a sweet little pickup.
awesome , an update on your truck , i was wondering what was happening with this project , good job ,
Hi Ladies.Build is looking great. The pic of Tanya with the steering wheel reminds me of my little sister playing in my Dad`s work truck.Good to see some faces on here that are`nt a bunch of "Grumpy old men" Good luck.Have fun.Be safe. Leo
