I was gonna drive the T over from here, but got to put wife into hospital Thursday night instead. Last night, she said something about me going to DBQ, and I had to ask her what kind of bastard she thought I was.

Told her, it is what it is, there'll be more shows.

So, yes, allow me to live vicariously through your pics.

Well the Gentry family has soo many people to thank for this year's torque fest. Mainly John and Kim, Steve Day, Doug , and the rest of the volunteers that make this show what it is. I also need to thank my father, Wayne lussman Jim Hanley and the wives for all the help with the press. We would also like to thank all of those who stopped and had some louvers put in. We ended up punching 933 holes total....amazing! And John I if your reading this,I will be getting you back. It has been a very humbling weekend. Thank you all again!

Torque Fest 2015 was awesome! The weather couldn't have been nicer (about 80 and very sunny) the car ran great, met a lot of HAMBers, outstanding car turnout, and as always...lots of fun to be had at the event. The drive to the show was a lot of fun. Watching the sun come up while cruising to the show in your Model A is a great way to start the day!

  4. 2015 t-fest 015.jpg 2015 t-fest 016.jpg ...just got home from Dubuque from another great show, the best yet for sure.
The start of the art auction concerning the Gentrys was heartwarming.
I'm happy to help support the Helping Hannahs Heart fund.
Hannah herself and her sister Madison both told jokes on stage before the art auction to kill some time before it got started, they both did a great job and this was a highlite of my weekend....cool kids.
Thanks to the guys who won the bids on my 2 art donations, much appreciated.

So many great cars this year. I only had my smart phone to snap photos with. While the content of the photos is awesome, the quality of my photos would be nicer had I brought my camera....my apologies.

Speedon's post #123 wins the best pic award, IMO.

Great pic, Speed. Captures the spirit nicely.

Does anyone have pictures of the club award cars? I wasn't able to get away to see what was picked. The pin up contest winner would be a added bonus too....

Thanks to everyone that had some louvers punched or that bought a pre-punchd panel. As Nate said in his earlier post, they punched 933 louvers over 1-1/2 days and able to donate a good chunk of money to HHH. A big thank you to Nate and Dale Gentry and their friends that kept punching holes.

Torquefest was an absolute blast! This was my second year going. The Wed night before the show my transmission shelled 3rd gear. I spent Thursday afternoon/night putting another trans in and then made the 400 mile drive Friday. It was defiantly worth it! This is one to go to year after year!

Thanks HAMBer GTS225 (Roger) Many of you can relate to the great feeling of driving your hot rod to a show; watching the sun crest the horizon with the promise of an exciting day ahead. Looking in your rear view mirror seeing your friend behind you in his hot rod.

The Model A was running like a champ. It was a great day!

I was having a blast so I quickly snapped a photo. I'm glad it captured the essence of the moment.

The show had just about everything for everyone, EXCEPT a non- dusty entrance and exit for hot rods with a detailed underside. I realize some don't give a shit.....but some do.

I hope each year involves vendors. I found some much needed stuff for a really good price. All and all, good show, lots of great people. Special thanks to Dale Gentry for making this weekend a great one. All I gotta do is find a frame now.

Glad you got a pic of my truck, I forgot! Stole it for a new avatar.

  27. ...that was a pretty decent pic for a quickie, glad you liked it; my favorite truck this year.

  28. My 1st torquefest. We had a blast. Yes, I was the guy who broke down just after pulling through the gate on friday lol and at the same time, a can of monster popped a hole in it in the front seat. The wife was less than pleased. I didn't catch the name of the guy who stopped to help us out, but thank you whoever you are. I have a bunch of pics I will try and post later today.
