Ratty_aussie. Making stainless frames for the back quarter windows. The wing windows will be made to the doors and the side door windows will still roll up and down. It should be 90% water tight. A lot of stainless welding for my good buddy Robbie. He'll hate me after that project. Lol

  2. Awesome, sounds like you've got it sorted. Keep up the good work.

Some more progress on the hood. I can only be amazed at Robbie's work.

I started making templets for the side glass as well. I can't wait for these babies to be done as well.

Damn!!!! The only thing is they are perfect. It would be worth it. Re chromeing is expensive.
The skirts bolt on on the lower corners and on the top they slide in two holes to lock them in.

Love your work. Building something truly unique and cool. A lot of thought talent and imagination. But then you let it down fitting a common, regular un imaginative small block chev and auto. Why? There are so many cool power plants that could of been used to continue the uniqueness and cool of the car. But with the hood closed still a neat car.

I agree it's very very common. But I do drive the shit out of my cars. I live in nor cal and I would rather drive my car to a so cal show then trailer it. So it's a reliable and easy to get a part if I brake down. The motor will be creatively dressed up with traditional parts. And yes the hood will be closed. I hate open hoods on cars at shows. I guess just wait and see.

Some more Sunday fun day pics. Robbie worked on the surface the latch will be mounted on. Hopefully 3 more weekends and it'll be done. Then I can finally put a drive train in her.

And on a side note I got my 8 week throw down 28 roadster on the ground and driving. This will be my summer ripper and then she'll be sold to pay for some chrome or some paint for this ride.

Lowcoe no sir it's just a generic "hot rod" latch. Lokar set up. It looks like one but it has the secondary safety to it. I do have a Volkswagen latch on my rear deck lid. Lol
    Thank you.

Ding dong the hood is done. Thank you baby Jesus. This is something that took more time and was way harder then chopping the top or anything else we've done on this car. A big shout out and a bigger thank you to my friend Robbie for all of your help and skills.

Very awesome build man. I love how you are not going crazy with the customizing and keeping the build very pure. I just picked up a 41 Buick coupe, in the planning phase for it now. I am looking for a set of rear fenders if you know of any.
