To fredeuce and walpolla ,thanks for the info . I had an idea it was Japanese but all I could find on Google were Datsuns and Toyotas from the '60s. I did find a mini electric powered Jailbar Ford made by Datsun (Nissan) and called a Tama. It would be great with a V8,60 in it.

When I was 15 one just like this sat at an abandoned house. I wanted to buy it but my father said they were too ugly. I wonder where it got to.

The others are correct, these were all from a day at the track in 1959. I'm the little guy in front of the Ford.
And speaking of Fords, here are a few more.

Quick means Life... so this was Europe's version of Life magazine.

 

The pumps are Butler 61's , very desirable

 

Train accident, at the East end of Oneonta Tunnel, old Columbia River Highway (in 1948 the tunnel was filled with debris and vegetation covered up the entrances).
