Congrats on project and story behind it. In process of building a 32 as well, hopefully will see you on the road one day. Cheers
Congrats - it's all about the journey as the car found it's way to you and you have done it justice. No doubt it was meant to be yours - now drive the wheels off of it - please!
Well I've certainly admired your Willy's. So the feeling is mutual! Wait .... That didn't come out right
Congrats! I love the rear crossmember/spring treatment! I may have to steal that idea. Pretty lady too.
Could you tell us what seat you're using...it looks like it fits perfectly...got any more pics of the seat?
Pick in pull special out a early 90's dodge minivan. Center row seat ....houndsblood leather $50.00. (Score!)
Splicing and model a center hump to 32 outers. So you don't have to carve out the trunk pan . Had to have my rear main leaf spring de arched 4 inches.. If I remember right ... That I stole from Rudy Rodriguez he's building some amazing stuff outta the Central Valley .
The right shackle bolts don't appear to have any cotter pins thought tha castleltee castellated nuts. Am I seeing things?
Well, I was just about to ask for more pics of your "old lady" because she is very pretty, but I don't want to interrupt any legal rangling which may likely occur as a result of your "reply". Seriously, your ride is just right and I really wish I had it.
Love your hiboy, highboy. I'm currently building a 32-5 window hiboy myself with Halibrand QC and am very reluctant to cut into the trunk floor. Your arrangement solves that problem and leaves you with a flat trunk floor. My rear crossmember is all finished but I may have to steal your idea and do some mods. Did you move the radiator forward to fit the 8BA with original fan in the engine bay without modding the firewall? Thanks for all the pics and have fun with your ride.
Yes my radiator is hanging on by its toe nails to the front crossmember . It's pretty mix and matched now with a two grove skinny belt pulley on the crank. Fat belt on the water pumps and skinny grove pulley on the genny. One belt drives the fan the other drives water pumps and genny if I got rid of the fan part I could move the radiator back a few inches. But then I'd need a generator with fan blades or electric fan which I'm not that into
If that's the '32 that belonged to Frank Hall of Petaluma, (I'm pretty sure it is) the side track that Frank had was a 392 Hemi FED that he ran at Fremont. (later known as 'Baylands') Frank was an avid motorcycle racer, too... Many stories abound. Miss him. Vaya con Dios, Frank...
