Hi guys, I picked up a 54 Chevy Belair with the power glide in it. It appears the drain plug is missing?? But it has trans fluid in it and seems to run a shift fine. Anyone know if this is just an outter plug? Or do I need a plug here?? ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1430437630.192580.jpg

I'd put something in there before a mouse decides that's a nice place to live.

  5. i can't tell from the photo, but is the torque converter in view through the hole. it could be the access to the converter drain.

Thanks guys, after further research it appears to be where the "transmission housing converter drain plug" goes. Which gives access to the converter housing drain plug
