Event Coverage Hot Rod Hill Climb - 2015

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Nicks Hot Rod Garage, Feb 4, 2015.

  1. We moved dates to August 14th and 15th for 2015

This is the weekend at the tail end of Bonneville Speedweek, and the weekend before the HAMB Drags.

We are keeping the event true to the original 1953 and 1954 event, all early 1950's hot rods in the Saturday Hot Rod Hill Climb program. There is an application process before you can register. We are limited to 100 cars this year, so apply early. (details here)

We also have the Reliability Run on Friday for everyone else (non-traditional cars). (details here)

And just to get your motor running, here is a peak at the 2014 event.

There are rooms in Silverthorne and Frisco about 25 miles to the west of Georgetown, however there is an 11,000 ft hill in between them but you are starting out at 8,500 ft so its no big deal. Or there is always the old tent trick, August is nice up there unless it rains or SNOWS not recommended for old farts. hope you make it. Its a great time and a beautiful town.

If your not bringing a car you can rent an RV in Denver and camp. Just an idea. I don't Know if they have RV parking this year but if not there are lots of places to camp. Good luck

Mike, you guys going to be at the roadster show again this Fathers Day, maybe bringing some shirts?

  22. We have a new event, the Hot Rid Dirt Drags the weekend before. It really depends on how long it takes to clean up and recover from that. A few of the guys from the shop are driving out.

    Shirts are available online http://hotrodhillclimb.com

Check out http://hotroddirtdrags.com for more details on this show.

    Mike
