Did you build Catch me If You Can ? Between CMIYC and Dogcatcher got me really stoked on my 35Panel, If you built it, what brand of headers are they? Always looked like jet boat headers to me. Same style I want mine.

I took the car to Sanderson headers in San Francisco Ca., I left the car there for a week (thats scary) came back and they were done WOW, they had mufflers that slipped into the collector with a flange that bolted to the end of the collector! looking at the headers you could not see the mufflers, Sanderson did a great job on them!!
Your 35 sedan delivery is a very rear car, don't do like I did and sell it, I always built one then would sell it to build the next one now I race a 40 Willys glass roadster and I'am building a glass 41 coupe for a street car, thanks Doug

That's cool your Race car has the same name. I have thought about selling it sometimes, because I can get some good coin for it. But I will most likely never find another in that good of shape. IM wanting set my steering up like yours was, did it steer good?

The car had a Corvair steering box and I had no problem steering it and drove fine on the hwy. & around town but if I did it again I would use a Vega box this would let you use a regular type steering column & give you a little more room, did you see "Catch Me If You Can" was in Hot Rod issue August 1972 also was on the back cover of the Hot Rod year book 1972 with the same write up inside? hope this helps Doug

Doug, Is second shot Bill Fitting's coupe? We saw it earlier in this thread wearing a darker color. Last shot is Kent Keller's Shaky Proposition.

Rob here is a picture of Bill Fitting's coupe with Carl Cadero and Howdy Ledbetter's yellow coupe, the picture was taken at Andys Picnic at the Vallejo fairgrounds in the 70's, just a note I sold Bill and Howdy their coupe bodies!, second picture was taken at Andys Picnic in San Ramon.

Frank Silva's freshly painted 33. Hard to see in these pics, but it is metalflake above the beltline, and un-real in the sunlight. Franks 33 Willys 1.jpg Franks 33 Willys 5.jpg

man it's nice to see a gasser that runs tens and could actually be owned by an average guy. in other words, one that doesn't run in the 7's on methanol. we used to have a '33 that ran in the 11's i believe here at Famosa and won quite a few bracket races. i think everybody thinks they should go like stink for the spectator appeal. if it looks like it should be a 7 second car and isn't they think there must be something wrong with it.
