Hot Rods This just in-(also photoshop please)

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Groucho, Apr 21, 2015.

  1. Shit's just get harder by the day to find. Some of you know me and I used to post regularly my new toys. But it's just getting tough out there. The prices some people want for pure fucking garbage is criminal. That said I was pretty happy to buy this today. Can someone lower the rear 1 1/2" and maybe some gold or cream wheels? Thank you 1908200_10204076968786444_1655347775766789083_n.jpg 11148347_10204076969746468_5068028109082467117_n.jpg DSC08600.JPG

  5. As much as I like chrome reverse, I can't see them on this car. But I do think there's too much of that color with the wheels painted to match.

  6. No can do. I need to personalize it slightly. Nothing irreversible.

Your good taste commits you to possibly remove the engine, and paint the block red.
Some acorns on the head nuts?
Too much is 'right' with this '40...Wish I could have been in on the assembly...That W&H DuCoil ignition, the stock wire loom, and its stamped 'collector'...the subtle two jugger...
    O.K., maybe some 7.00 X 16" whites on rear...
but the wheel color is SO classy.
    You asked...

  20. The stance is right there, but I guess colors on wheels R tough on P.S? How about a Sombrero cap instead? Thank you

Yup. Sombreros and a mild tail drag stance and you're in like Flynn

Somethings IMHO are best left alone. Too nice to mess with in current format. Love it, however your car and I agree to disagree.

  23. My only changes I'd do, would be Wimbleton cream wheels and firewall.
Try asking Moose and Mad fish to Photoshop it in the Photoshop thread.
    That's a damn nice car.

Drop the front a little and paint the engine block......leave the rest as it is.

The brighter colored wheels make the overall look a bit shorter. Put a double stripe on the wheels in cream, or a triple with cream outer stripes and bright red in the center. That would add some interest there without going too far. Maybe some chrome spiders and acorn lug nuts too. Keeps the dark wheel, which I agree, already looks good.

Looks like good base material for a fordoor conversion thread.
