    Here's my new toy.
I wanted to have a hot rod for a long time.
After buying a 1933 "StreetBeast" Vicky Kit car, I
wanted something more traditional and real steel.
So i sold the Vicky, and went for a hunt.
So since i currently have a chopped Ranchero i am
building, i went on the hunt for something running and driving.
So after sometime, I found a chopped 1935 Ford Truck.
And fell in love after seeing the pictures.
After some talk with the owner, i took a drive to check it out.
    And it followed me home....

Plans for now, are some rust repair on the doors, and a V8 Swap, car currently has a Ford 2.3 L 4cyl.

After swap, and rust repair, going to make make a decision about if the car will stay with a patina look, or
    a more finished car.

But for now, drive her, and enjoy it, as is

I like it. But those seats don't look very comfortable.

Nice truck! With that 2.3 in there it can cruise for a week on a tank of gas. I know gas is a bit cheaper right now, but I might leave it in for a summer and make my traveling buddies mad. 25 mpg compared to 6 mpg with a 10 gallon gas tank. Just something to think about.

Nice find and looks like you're doing the right stuff!

  19. Nice little ride. I don't car for the necker knob but that's a personal thing. maybe I should say I wouldn't like it in my truck, it doesn't look bad at all.

What's the thing hangin off the cowl if I may ask?

  20. Nice new truck. Keep the 2.3 4 cyl and add a big turbo on it - V8 power (or more!!) and potentially less swap hassles. Still get great mpg.

I like the cut of the jib on that one. It'd look great in old school straight maroon, minus the faux stuff. Good score.

Very nice. No on the moon tank. It covers too much of the cool grill. But it is yours.

Want to thank everyone for the positive comments, the can on the cowl is just for storage, and the moon tank isn't a for sure thing yet. Will be posting Progress as I we work done on it.

    Winner, winner, chicken dinner.

And don't run the Moon tank. Just my .02

  28. The gizmo on the cowl looks like an air cleaner used on tow-behind air compressors and other industrial equipment. It looks really out of place to me. I'd dump it. Looks like a zit on a super model's face.
