I had no idea this was happening in my own backyard: http://www.nashvilleboogie.com/ The car show looks like it might be something worth checking out. Anybody know anything more about this or planning on attending?
I have never heard of it. I even asked two buddies and they haven't either. Might be worth checking out. I wonder where it will be exactly.
Hey guys, I was about to post about this again but figured I'd reply and give an update instead. What I've been told is that the hotel is booking up pretty quick, Thursday is sold out. Eddy Munster and the Munster hot rods will be there. The car show can accommodate ~600 cars. I know Jason the organizer, if you have any questions I'll try to get them answered. -The Senator Per their Facebook: Join us for a massive indoor music festival celebrating the 40's - 50's sound that Nashville was built on. i live 90 miles from Nashville i never heard of it ether. i haven't saw a flyer or add on the net for the show and isn't that the same date as the spring rumble.
I'm really bummed that it's the same weekend as the Stray Kat 500 and Vintage Torque Fest, looks like a good time!
Has any one attempted to register a car? I tried Friday but I haven't received a reply. You have to summit a photo which I found odd. I guess they are monitoring who attends. Also I guess you can't show up day of.
There is 4 of us from central Illinois that have registered and going down for a Nashville getaway. ..I'll be in my roadster
Nice cars! We're only a week away! It is the same day as the Rumble, the big thing going for it if people are torn between which to go to is it being weather proof. I've heard if there is rain and enough room inside they'll move all the cars that would like to in to the building... That and the vendors will already be inside and setup on tables. I hope that makes it easier to find things than the usual outdoor swap meets. I know the aim is to make this a different flavored VLV for the east coast, though it seems like a lot of people are coming from out west too... I'm just excited. I'll be in a blue and white 58 Edsel Pacer, if you see me say hey!
I didn't take many pictures but we had a good time. There were 3 of us from central Illinois that drove the 380 miles down to Nashville. The entertainment was second to none. The car show was OK. It was definitely geared more towards the music end of it more than the car show, but there were some really nice cars there. If they would have promoted the car show end of it more I think it would have been much bigger. Either way it was still a good time. I wish it wouldn't have conflicted with Vintage Torque Fest and the other shows but it is what it is. I'll try to post a few pictures later.
It deserved it. It was nice talking to you at the show. I have a ton of pics that I will try to post today. Rich
Hey just announced the plans for next year... Hopefully word gets around because there is enough room in that place for hundreds of more cars plus the outdoor lots... Your car looked great! My Edsel had a leaking transmission line so I left it at the Palace across the street, she'll be good to go by next year.! Voodoo woman what have you done to me... 1958 Edsel Pacer
