Did you try Speedway's racing catalog? IIRC, they have 15" wide five centers. Probably not much help if you want to run stock hubcaps.

I know that Marty Strode has done them in the past. He is on here and in Oregon

I have done some for my own use, they are a fair amount of work. It's also difficult to find the 15" hoops with the large inside dimension, (13.25" as I remember). The hoops that Speedway sells have a 12.625" center hole, and using them, you loose the appealing character of the centers. Good luck in your search. IMG_0923.JPG IMG_0926.JPG IMG_0927.JPG

Marsh Racing Tire, i think they are in Arkansas, put wider hoops on my original wide five centers. the centers were not modified in any way, the finished wheels had .015" T.I.R. or less! price was very reasonable too. hope this helps.

I made a set with 16 inch 2000-2001 Chevy pickup rims. These were spares and were steel not alloy. If I remember right the centers fit in the hoops perfectly. I'll try to post pics.

Hey JOECOOL, what was your method for removing the center of the Chevy wheel? Did you do like most of us would and dig it out with heat and grinders? Or did you have a lathe big enough?

I really want to make a set of these and want to put a new outer on instead of adding a band.

    Thanks

The OP is asking for 15" wheels........'wider rims' apparently is not his sole criteria....putting wider rims on 16" centers is not so difficult.
