Technical How to split a 9" traction lock

  1. image.jpg what do I need to do to separate the two halves?
    I remove the two screws

    First in the series. I followed this and ended up with a perfect pattern first try.
     

  5. A dead blow hammer and wrap it on the end you have sticking up in several directions that should loosen it up. Then just worry it apart. That is how I get 'em apart.

    I didn't read the manual again, I just posted the link, but I figured the roll pin was probably most of what was holding it together. It's been 25 or so years since I worked on one.
