I picked up a few things but the best thing I got was meeting and having a long conversation with Ken Austin, a hot rodder that ran Bonneville starting in '52 and an absolutely amazing man. And the opportunity to buy a set of his 337 heads.
I picked an edelbrock 3x2 for a sbc. Got it home and found out it's an early casting for large base Rochester carbs. I have small base carbs so it will be going up for sale soon. It's too bad because it's in really great condition.
Yea, I wanted them for my 48. Instead I found a guy with a bunch of rings that had a "set" for $6. I got home and after the tape was off, here is what I got. Not quite a match but when I showed the woman she said, "one is shinny and one isnt?" I think I'll run with them for now until I find the match to one of the two.
