How'd you all do out there? Pics?

I got my glass, headlight and signal rings, and gauges. Just need bumper brackets now.

Almost pulled the trigger on these, but couldn't bring myself to do it.

I picked up a few things but the best thing I got was meeting and having a long conversation with Ken Austin, a hot rodder that ran Bonneville starting in '52 and an absolutely amazing man. And the opportunity to buy a set of his 337 heads.

I picked an edelbrock 3x2 for a sbc. Got it home and found out it's an early casting for large base Rochester carbs. I have small base carbs so it will be going up for sale soon. It's too bad because it's in really great condition. ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1428906768.430421.jpg

Why wouldn't you simply make a set of adapters for your carburetors?

Yea, I wanted them for my 48. Instead I found a guy with a bunch of rings that had a "set" for $6. I got home and after the tape was off, here is what I got.

Not quite a match but when I showed the woman she said, "one is shinny and one isnt?" I think I'll run with them for now until I find the match to one of the two.

Here's my haul from Friday at PIR. All of that was only $31. The gauge surround cleaned up pretty decent, I'll use it in my coupe. We spent Saturday at the Expo, picked up a few more small items.

From what I can find, it's an early Stewart Warner, most likely from a boat.

    Wow, it's pretty cool

  18. We bought a pair of 1960 Rambler Americans. Funny thing there were at least 7 between PIR & Expo for sale.

That is funny as I counted them too, never seen so many in one place.
