Just a thread for mine and 204carcrazy's build on a 1963 Ford Galaxie.
By no means are we as talented as some of the guys on here, so bare with us. lol

Bought the car off the internet sight unseen from British Columbia, Canada. This is how it looked like when it showed up.

We tore it apart and quickly realized it wasn't as clean as it looked.

the original Galaxie frame had some rust issues, so we were lucky enough to find a clean frame to restart with

204carcrazy modified tranny crossmember for the new tranny

we repaired the rear frame rails, removed the rear leaf mounts, and filled the access holes

Love these cars. A friend had one in high school back in 1971. Black with red interior. 390 automatic. Sat up kind of all the way around with frosted mag front runners and black steel's with H78x15's on the rear. Looked like it was going a 100 mph standing still! But slammed with white walls and supremes is another way to go lol!! Nice build, enjoy and continue to post.. Larry

got the frame put together. with the 14" supremes it will sit 2.5" off the ground without body weight.

also got the body back on the frame.

    lifted

Where did you source your four link from? and did you update the front suspension also?

  22. Really liking this project, great workmanship. My first new car was a 63 Galaxie 500 convert. 390 4-sp. list price was $3600, paid $3000 off the show room floor, the 64's just came out.

for the 4-link we pieced it together. lowers are from thorbros.com and uppers are from welderseries.com

in the picture i was using a flaming river rack (but it was really tight with my headers), so we swapped it out for a borgeson box and fatman tubular control arms.

    that's because they didn't make one. ;)
we had New Vintage USA make us a tach that would look correct for '63.

It's a 8.8 out of a Lincoln Mark VII. The Bill Blass edition has 3.08 gears and the LSC edition has 3.27 in case your junk yard has a choice between the two.
