Just finished (for the second time) Burt Munro's biography, One Good Run, by Tim Hanna. Love the book and am now hungry for another hotrod or drag racing related biography. Anything you guys recommend?

    Smokey Yunick three book autobiography.

And that guy knows how to put auto in a biography a little about everything, and a lot laughs, tears and dirty talk. Loved every minute of it.

    Damn good.

And also Edelbrock: Made in USA.

Also damn good, good story, great people and awesome pictures!

Is the Burt Munro story on Amazon/eBay? I would love to read that!

Kind of a rare book to find. Excellent read. I have a copy of the paperback for sale if interested.

Should be, that's were I got mine. Just make sure you get One Good Run and not the abridged and shortened version of the same book, named Burt Munro: The Legend of Speed. Good luck.

Goes like Hell, the story of Ford's LeMans effort in the 60's.
Flat out by Albert Drake, best book that describes racing on the early lake beds.

Get the Don Garlits auto biography buy all means.
It is detailed and quite personal, while giving an insight
to the evolution of big time drag racing. Also there is a
bio by Garlits about thrills spills and close calls that
is a good read as well.

X2 on The Michigan Mad Man - E.J. Potter. I feel lucky to have tracked him down and got an autographed copy when most thought he was long dead. His stories were great and funny in a way all of us gearheads can relate to.
