Technical Holley 88-71 Regulator - Application???

I have this Holley 88-71 Regulator, but no idea what it is for. Does anyone have an old Holley book laying around to identify what it is for?

My dad says it's Mopar and bolts to the firewall....? Any confirmation on this?

 

Looks a lot like the Motorola regulators used on heavy equipment.

I think they came in 24v and 12v but the link is to the 24v version.

 

I think you're onto something. Does look like a Voltage Regulator. The plug is different, though, unless like you said about the difference between the 12v and 24v.
