We just bought a 1937 Ford that has been in a garage for about thirty years. It was my dads cousins car and he just passed away about a month ago and dad got his hands on it today. I don't have any good pictures, but the body is in near perfect condition and it has a 331 hemi with Hillborn fuel injection. Here are a few (bad) pictures, it is in a very small garage which made the picture taking difficult. What do you guys think? .
Can't wait to see that come out of the garage. Did that ever run with the hemi, or was it in process?
Wow, you're never know that big ol Hemi was lurking under the hood. This is great. Please show us more when you can. Thanks.
Killer car from the hemi to the dash, steering wheel (57--59) the DEEP paint. That's gonna be fun!! Send pics after you buff it!! Tim
I'll post a new thread with the pictures when we get it out of the garage, I'm looking forward to that as much as you guys are!
From what we can see, it looks great. I would immediately replace the injection with a carb to get things sorted out. You could decide later if you want to tackle the injection.
Yes that's what we'll do. We are planning on rebuilding it and making a pretty hot street engine out of it. It was built kind of like a gasser(still has the old slicks on it) so it's pretty hot already but not at all streetable.
