looking good, it is starting to come together. As I look through your progress that you post I am wondering how many times you have studied or thought through a situation and ask yourself

"What would my brother of done here ?"

Fortunateson , I was referring to the front track width. F1 hubs and drums are a little wider than F100's.

The rear track width is a little wider as well because I am using reversed F1 wheels.

I do think that occasionally. Even though I am taking a little different build approach, I think he'd approve. !

The other day you ask a guy about steeling you quote, and now you don't use it.

    Let me be the first to correct you or back you (depending on, are you a glass half full guy ?);

Finally found a lower hose....and funny that it comes from a dodge minivan. With a little trimming it fits good.

Working on the floor panels. Hope to get some pics up soon.

Great way to hotrod a dodge minivan. Start with a lower hose and add 32 Ford parts. Lol

  9. Everything is coming together! As I sit here typing and looking outside the timing and weather are almost the same as the day I first spotted those valve covers. The mention of Steve above triggered that memory.

Well I'm getting some stuff done but you sure can't tell.

Got tired of the headlight and taillight wiring being spooled up so I got them run.

Decided to splurge and dropped off the winged Stewart Warners off at APT for restoration.
I'm going to run an early 60's set until they are ready.

I have a nice start on the wood floorboards, and I picked up a pair of Made in Minnesota Porter mufflers.

I've had APT rebuild gauges several times in the past, they've always done a real nice job.

A little floor work today. Still need to fab some sheet aluminum supports where the plywood meets.

I think I have a spare Buick oil pan that may get repurposed for the hump.

  18. Nice. Are you going to use T nuts in the floor board or wood screws?

Hey Todd, The floor panel goes into the original nut-serts (#12 fasteners). The toe board are bolts and nuts, and the little brackets will use wood screws. On the tranny hump I think I'll use nut serts.

When I bent them up they kinda looked like the cheap carpet strips that you put on thresholds. Instead of chrome I was thinking gold anodize:)

Tough crowd today, might be from giving Larry a hard time a out his new 4dr purchase???

Would you be willing to post the part number on the lower hose? That looks like the hose I need for my 270 red ram.

The O'Reilly's part number is 22006, if I remember correctly. The application is a 93-95 Chrysler minivan with a V-6. You will have to confirm that Eric- It's too early in the am for me :)

The pics you showed my on your phone were excellent Eric, But I'm glad that I finally found this thread and saw the rest of them- Truely phenomenal

Spent a few enjoyable hours reading this thread- Fantastic work of putting the old girl back on the road! You are an artisan Eric! I too have the issue of Rodders Digest where Steve showed us his find. I can't believe that was so close to where I grew up.

A post by 'need louvers?' brought back a memory that I had completely forgotten about. He mentioned buying a Model T from a guy named Charlie Harvey. Well, I went to HS in Chisago Lakes- Not too far from where Old Charlie had his building (near Stacy, not far from Forest Lake). In about 1980, I went to his place with the intention of finding a Model T body to start a hot rod with. Being in HS and a dish washer at the Swedish Inn in Lindstrom, I didn't have the $800 for a super cherry 26-27 roadster body that he had for sale. So I waited a year and ended up buying a 1972 Javelin/AMX that a friend had and fixed that up instead.

It's crazy that reading this thread made me remember that!
