I bought a pair of brand new French Flathead Carbs. Their origin is the french Army. They are Zenith NDIX 32 as used quite often but have an add on that i don't know what it's for. Any Ideas ? Thank you in advance. Mario
We used them on single & dual carb VW hot rod stuff before the Holley "Bug Spray" came out. OEM on some 356 Porsche.
A governor can be used for 3 general applications, it can keep you from over revving your motor and control speed, like in a commercial truck. The other application that it can be used for is on a stationary motor like say a generator or a pump and it will keep you from logging the engine or killing the engine when it goes from no load to load. it is basically a speed or load controller. You should be able to remove it, You are liable to have to plug a vacuum hole or two.
Thank you Porknbeaner! I am going to set them up on my Chrysler Flat 6 engine. So their intended application doesn't make sense anyway. Mario
