  3. Thx for the compliment......posted pic's sum up where we're at now, although lots of in-progress shots......stock seats have just been installed as I will drive it/road test it without upholstery as that will be early in '15....will post again after interior finishing.....

Aside from the one piece windshield the exterior looks stock to me in this picture but it does look chopped in others, maybe it was the camera lense.

Edit: I should've looked closer this is the car that @Deucecoupe was referring to.

I think deucecoupe is asking about the 40, not the 39. I would say the 40 is chopped.

Oh yeah. With my cursory examination I didn't notice there were 2 different cars in that post oops.

  8. Yes, that car was chopped and the drip rails were removed(something I don't usually like, but on this car it looked great).

  9. I do like 'em hood less...................

Some changes to my 40 since the last time I posted it on here. Shaved the door handles, decked it and frenched the license plate, lowered the rear more, added Cal Custom style Dummy Spots 10922538_10205761417625596_4901333122239843463_n.jpg 11059198_10206036586744652_7964149307984868480_n.jpg

God I saw this car at GNRS. It was literally the best car there in my opinion. So so so good. Fine work.

Funny thing is that this is the same car with different wheel color and black walls not white walls. Ryan changed them after I sold him the car. ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1430661346.171397.jpg ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1430661370.191983.jpg

Something about a hot rod in motion.

    Here's a bump with mine...

    as an early custom:

Or as a hot rod on the way to the drags:

  30. Had posted progress pics here prev........current pics of finished project now taken Oct/15 before rains set in......
over 11 yrs, project was halted several times due to "heading in wrong direction"......my youngest brother was 2nd owner in 1972 and I got it after his passing in 2002.......as my brother always talked of restoring it, I kept the build conservative but with modern touches mostly hidden.......such as C4, tube shocks, 4 whl disc brakes, cruise control, wiper delay and so on.......
