  14. Don't have anything of substance that shows construction/attachment details, but I do have some vintage shots to offer for inspiration :)

    From what I can tell, 1936 is the first date I've seen photo evidence for;

    The Spalding bros used one to cover the rear portion of their Phaeton in this 1936 photo;

    Both Bill Parker (#22 Phaeton) and George Sakai (#124) used them in this Oct 2, 1938 shot;

    Charlie & George Beck's '29 shown here in 1940;

    I can't recall where I saw it (in print or at a show) but the toneau I saw had battens sewn into long pockets running front to back in the passenger side's cover. The battens looked just like those seen in the sails on sail boats. I bet they were great in keeping the cover from flapping and the look reminded me of the bead rolling you see in body panels. It looked cool, classy and was a nice finishing touch to the cover. Jeremy, was that your cover? Gary

    After all this time I'm sure you must have built a cover by now, if not check out the Walsh 32 roadster the 333 car record holder from Bonneville, their's is a frame work that is hinged on the passgenger side and latches on the driver side it works because the car has gong over 230 mph with out any problems....................

    For the people running a tonneau with a cut oval for the driver do you have a cover for the cut out and if so how are you fastening it.?
