Hold the gun fire, I can agree looking at those pics that it doesn't look good, I think there might be something with more modifications that could look decent, again, it was just a thought, I'm not actually doing this to a car. Thanks for the pic and the photo shop, and yes I do give credit to DrJ for having seen one in person. These were the responses I was looking for. I know everyone has an opinion about this and I agree with it more so now than before, not having seen anything to compare it to. There are plenty of cars out there that I think either look perfect or horrible, then they get customized and either it works or it doesn't.

I don't have photoshop so I used MS Paint, but it gives the idea; a neutered masterpiece, not horrible.
Played a bit with photoshop Still does not look good, like a shark with no fin , Like the flame lighted Rocket fins way better.
It was done more often than you might think back when the cars were new. Some people had them removed to be more "dignified".
Guys , come on , a 59 Cad with out Fins ? ...it's like looking at Pamala anderson without her balcony, But Enough now , Lets continue to make a threat about the Fins I will start one , I am very curious what will show up.
