I just had to poke at the correct police. My next build will fit the criteria. Oh no it won't, it's a pick up. Dang.

What book are you all referring to? I would like to find a book on what it takes to build a model A hot rod.

Done 25 years ago. Just now coming into style.

  13. Agree, the book everyone should read before building a period correct Hot Rod. However "Bluey" the chief character sits on a Deuce frame. Anyway, definitely a beautiful V8 powered Model A.

Not sure where you got that idea but "Bluey is most definitely a true AV8 with a genuine Model A frame.
Here's a link with lots of pic...scroll down all the way to the bottom:

  15. Shame on me, you are absolutely right. On page 7 of the book Mike Bishop writes "...While I choose a Model A frame because that was what I had under my original car, we also describe the construction of a Deuce-framed chassis..."
I was probably confused when reading chapter 2 "The Frame" where they exactly describe both frame versions. Sorry, I owe you a drink the next time you come to NZ.

Just discovered this forum & find it great. Recently purchased a '31 roadster pickup project. It was channeled over the frame, I am having it raised to provide more room for me to fit in. Anxious to read more of this and see all the great rides.
