and onto the next business went down Friday after work to tommy carusos shop and purchased the final pieces for my 59ab build so I thought... he had a 4 1/8" merc crank for me that he had offset ground years ago and we got digging in his pile of early cams and I was able to dig out a Harman Collins "S 109" cam for the motor. so come Monday the motor will be at the machine shop having the 3 3/8 jahns pistons fitted!

got a phone call from pete today saying that dave50 had a 59L block available for me to buy so luckily my 59ab block wasn't already at the machine shop. dave had already hot tanked and magnafluxed the block for cracks and the block is all good to go! pretty stoked on having a L block for the heavy bore im doing on this block.

Looking good Richie, that motor should move the coupe down the road just fine.

Did you build that entire chassis sitting on jackstands or did you get it on the chassis jig ??

Hahaha no the chassis was put on my father frame table I just didn't get any pictures of it on the table. Mocked the chassis on the ground if you look a lot of the pictures on the jack stands the cross members are tacked in then I put it up on the frame table and squared it. At the time there was one of my fathers customers chassis on the frame table

Also started messing with the 32 commercial headlights and my Harman collins dual coil distributor came for the motor!!! Damn sexy seeing a Harman collins distributor mated to a harman collins cam haha

Not gonna lie its been on the back burner been working on my a roadster for trog and super busy with work seeing people don't live without ac this time of year in nh. Motor is coming back from tommy Caruso soon so that should give me some drive to make the final pull to get it to paint. Love the support though!

Great build but I don't get the cowl steering. Never saw one in my day (the 50s).
