My 57 gmc 100 truck building in Ga

    YES, Got a deposit on this 57 last night, hopefully he will complete the thread as he completes it.

    What I found in the 327, I white greased the bearings, before I pulled the engine back out, I changed the oil filter. It had gotten stopped up, the new filter let the oil flow, pressure came back up. (did not change oil) I offered the 327 to the fellow who put up the money on the truck. I think he wants to go another route.

    Hey I'm in Chattanooga. Love the truck man. Hands down the best front end on a truck from the 50s. I'm really diggin the moonshiner vibe. Ladder bars and 160 mph speedo? Love it.
    Have you done any looking in any junkyards around here. I don't know of many older ones mainly just plastic junk from the 80s. Im looking for stuff like gmc 302 or 270.

    Kind of sad to see you sell your truck.

    Seemed like you were near completing it.

    Hope the new owner shows us some love and posts up his work on completing your project 57.
