They remind me of Checker cabs but a bit narrower with '57 Chev Fenders.

  11. Well said John, this is exactly why I keep coming back. To keep it going. If I was the only one to show up, I would post. Being surrounded by so many talented artists with such a great array of media styles and techniques is the icing on the cake.

50+% market share in the 50's were held by these Holdens. Funny, they were everywhere- I now find them as an unusually proportioned car when I draw them these days. This is Elly with Gary's '57- Chopped & underbody strenghening for the 283.

p.s; Replace the fire with checks & here's your 'Baby Checker'..

I like that dodge truck much better than the stock version. YES!!!!

  20. That Stanford Dodge is cool. I agree, the Chrysler fenders and 300 tail lights work way better than stock.

I have one more for the road. Had to sketch so I did.

Another great show kids. Love it all. 2nd chance, your blade is sharp, and the Speedster is really a beautiful rod, the numbers put it over the top. I agree that Dodge truck would be an awesome build, nice work Mr. Stanford. Jigger I can barely stand to look at that gal with her britches askew! Gold stars to all.

GaryC - wonderful, beautiful tribute to El Capitola! I love the colored streaks in the black background.
Cruisin' - Amazing series! Same with what you have posted the last few weeks when I did not have time to comment. Especially love the yellow and brown 37 Chev.
Mark(Jigger) - I am alwasy enthralled seeing your progressive posts of one of your images from start to finish. I love the details in this one - the suntan lines on the cuties rear end and that fabulous beatered out Model A.
Steve(Spoggie) - That combo shot of the blue (Holmans?) sedan and wagon is very cool and well arranged. Shakedow is pretty damn cool too.
robber - excellent postings this week and for the past couple weeks as well. Sorry I did not have time to tell you then. Really digging your intense color style.
Jeff Norwell - Warren must be positively thrilled have that work of art for his show sign.
themoose - wonderful technique and mood in your salt flats painting.
John Mullen - Nicely done drawings.
rusty1 - I always enjoy your old cars on wood.
nmpontiac - fascinating and original technique on that 32 representation.
slammmed - that Dodge pickup is just outstanding!
drew5x2 - nice, original style and background on that suburban.
Rustomiser - that Caddy image is outrageous! So beautiful and cool - is the car real or something you concocted in your head? Either way, I love it.

    Great work everyone else!

Thank you Dan... for posting these killer shots. Touched or untouched, your photos are among the best in the league. Love the 3wd Deuce atop the list but each one has a unique quality of it's own anyone would be proud to put on their wall. Also thanks for the kind words.

    rustomiser... love the Cady!

Hi Dan,..just what I would LIKE to see,..one day.
    thanks

  30. Dan,
I often take photos of cars that I want to draw later on at home. I like to print them out in b&w and look at the fine details. However when I compare mine photos to yours there is a major difference in the clarity of your photos I can see every little detail in your shots. I envy what you can do with a camera. great stuff
