Do you know what class it ran in back in the day? ?/G Wonder what it weighs? It's interesting that most of the "gasser" groups running shows today would look at a 11:70 car like it didn't belong on the same track with them.

Great Story and a wonderful find.
To find something like this car that has been sitting for years is really very rare.
The Vintage Memories connected to this car would make a wonderful story for many magazines.

Best of luck with it. Jimbo

All around a pretty cool story. With all of the colorful drag cars we all got to experience firsthand, it is really great to find one from the original owner in as raced condition. Congrats.

  12. Congratulations what a find. You need to load that up and go south. That old girl would fit nicely in the south east gassers race. Look up there schedule if interested shot me a PM. I am from maryland and will be going to most of the races.

Way cool. Can't be too many '58 model surviving 'as raced' race cars. That's a great acquirement and a pretty rare bird at that. Congrats. Injected oh-two, 5.38s, I'll bet that thing had a song all its' own.....:D

  25. Totally cool thread I have always liked the 58 2 dr sedan and here it is injected as a gasser, could be one of my dream cars. Can you post some pictures that are not so busy just the car only, that would be very cool.

Not a lot of 58 chevys left, especially this nice.
The Gasser Gang of W.N.Y. is coming to the 2015 Meltdown Drags, July 17, 18, 19, @ Byron, IL.
It would be cool to see your car running with cars (same as back in the day.)
