I usually see Chevy's... these are really cool.

Well, pretty much every "bomb" I ever saw was really cool.

If you are a bomb owner and don't have this magazine you should be heading for their website. I just got my first issue and I love it. I let my dad borrow it and I almost didn't get it back.

I really like the more subtle bomb styling and the Chief with all the extra trim lends itself to that look. Won't be going overboard on accessories though. Partly as I can't afford them! Have skirts too. pontiacvisor.JPG

Would you call mine "a bomb"?

"a Bomb" sounds a bit unreliable to me, I'd like better "a torpedo"...? ;-)
I consider my Dodge a cruiser, I installed R10 overdrive, thus she goes down the road with ease now...

Yes, I will call that a bomb, maybe you need to lower it a bit.

  15. The Dodge is Definite bomb material!
Good to see Non -GM bombs!

  16. Maybe if he said bombitas?

You are totally correct my friend. Of course it could be that you and I have spent too much time in the Mission district. Or maybe Bernell Heights in the '70s.;)

So now that I have successfully clouded this thread with something that only a man from the bay area could understand, lets see 'em fellas don't be shy.

Örn, Your Olds is übercool. I've always adored this GM fastback body style as the most beautiful coupe ever made.
1946-48 Olds grille was most clean & stylish of the period, better looking than the other GM cars shared the body.
The worn out paint is also stunning - Money cannot buy this kind of patina. Congratulations!
White walls & caddy hub caps are the top of the cherry.

Thank's for the kind word tinsled and rat bastad. I agree totally about these GM fastbacks of the fourties. Sweet bodystyle!

  24. Bummer. Sometimes it is hard to have to sell a car to gain another. Your black fastback will be a tough act to follow, but I'd say you're on the right path. Good luck with her..........

Sorry, Cadman. But the bomb world isn't like the rest of the car world where tired paint, torn upholstery, etc. is accepted. The gente that builds bombitas takes serious pride in making their car THE BEST it can be. They are basically restored cars that are lowered or juiced. IMHO, the bomb builders are some of the best there are. They spend way too much money on the correct accessories and that just puts them over the top.

If you ever get a chance to go to a lowrider show or a bomb gathering, you should go. It's hard to see how nice these cars really are in just pictures. You gain more of an appreciation for them in person.

All that being said, your Caddy is a great starting point. Could be an absolute stunner all done up! Get to work, holmes..........E

I get that and totally appreciate the look and the work required to get there, I just couldn't resist the "dirty bomb" joke.
