We used to stay here every year when my dad's pipe band played the Garibaldi Days Parade.

Half the fun of getting to South of the Border was always the Pedro say's bill boards that you would see for a few hundred miles before you ever got to the place.
Each sign would say Pedro say's your only 200 miles from the place and the next sign would have another funny old saying and you would be 100 miles from the place.

It always kept the kids busy on the drive from Connecticut to Florida every year for vacation.
Great place to stop for the night and get some food.

I remember Charlie Stuart as an Oldsmobile dealer, Studebaker must have been before I started paying attention to that sort of thing.

I saw an item a while back stating that there are no longer any new car dealers inside the 465 loop. Hard to imagine.

Ray Skillman has a few inside the loop but that's about it. Skillman started out as Stuart/ Skillman Olds GMC. Remember Nankeville Chevrolet? They sold some Motion and Yenko cars I guess. I have an original license plate frame from them on my garage wall.
