  5. I'm tapped out as well. I love die-casts but I just had to stop.

  6. Count me as one who will resist. After buying All of the GMP Indy Roadster series, the Kurtis midget series, most of the dragsters and all of the LSR cars, I had to join Die Cast junkies anonymous.

I drew a picture showing all my little cars, and after that it broke me from buying any more. Sold the drawing, but that didn't come close to paying for the little cars.

This car reminds me of Von Franco's coupe in it's 60's paint.
Later he black primered it over the flake paint and sold it.. wonder if the new owner knows what is underneath??

  10. I like die cast but I prefer the full scale deuces. HRP

  12. Jay -

I'm curious (for obvious reasons :D) which Grand National Deuce Series diecast model will have a {Chrysler/Dodge/DeSoto} Hemi ? ... #5 or #6 ?

    NOTE:

#1 has an ARDUN (OHV conversion Ford Flathead):

    #2 has a Ford Flathead:

#3 has a Small Block Chevy:

    #4 has a Buick Nailhead:

  13. I mean technically Ardun heads are hemi heads (arguably (and probably really) the first appearance of hemispherical combustion chambers in an automotive application).

While I understand that they weren't going for a full replica of Phil Kaelin's '32 5W that Larry Watson painted, which was channeled and had a Mopar engine, it would've been a good idea if their model captured more of the character of the Deuce body. Especially around the windshield, cowl, and side windows. Especially for $130 bucks!

Always finding more places for me to spend my money....thanks Ryan ;)

  16. And what the hell's up with the painted quarter windows?
Is it because in that Watson photo that Froghawk posted the passenger side looks blanked out if you don't realize you are seeing the inside of the roof?

  17. HRP: Did you?

  18. No, that would be the 1913 Pugeot DO Hemi Grand Prix race car.

  19. It would be neat if the motors would interchange between them & you build your own version :) I got four enclosed bookcases with custom built (me) sealed doors with lighting on each shelf....I don't have room for more arrrgh!!

  20. Craig you are in luck! They do offer a "kit" version that can be built with or without fenders, has multiple engines, two sets of wheels/tires, and the body parts are primed and ready for paint.
