I am in a unique spot where I have a lot of cars yet to build. It got me wondering who else has some cool bodies just waiting for time to begin. My list of I started Caesars as follows, 1932 ford 3w, 1933 ford 3w, 1933 willys truck, 1931 ford roadster, and a 1954 Austin healey. I'm felling pretty blessed, and overwhelmed all at the same time.

Do you need a body to call it a project? I built a rolling '37 Harley starting with a rear fender years ago. Bob

A 63 260 4 speed Ranchero, and a 48 F6 COE. Doubt I will be able to do much with either until I retire.

All of mine are waiting in the wings right now. I've got to get some sort of shop built so I can actually work on something and not worry about the weather. The boat tail roadster gets first place in line just because there isn't a lot of expense to it. Tires and getting the wheels sandblasted and powder coated will be the major single largest cost of the whole project. The money spent on it is more to make it "right" than just to be throwing money at it.
The 48 has got to have a shop with room to work and a flat floor to do what I want to do and do it right.
The Model A is a distant third but I am gathering parts for it one at a time.

I'm building the '34 in my Avatar, when it's finished or shall I say driveable, hahaha, I'm gonna get some paint on my '59 4-door, then start on another really nice '34 5 window.

  10. As it stands right now I only have one project waiting in the wings and it's my '65 Ford F-100 that was my daily driver in the 70's.

I also have a 1956 Shasta camper that I'm working on. HRP

28 A V/8 Roadster, my driver which is in shop prepping for the coming driving season. Minor stuff
49 Ford 2 dr to be Littonized
30 tudor chopped waiting for nailhead power
69 Ford shortbox (shop truck, driver) taken apart for motor freshening and fell to the reasoning of as long as I have it apart I might as well do this. Now looking a full repaint and overdrive installation.
67 Scotsman travel trailer (canned ham) redoing interior to use this summer.
8 mini bikes, three done and useable. 5 in various states of completion.
My dad literally has about 30 cars and about 5 projects going. I hope I have his energy when I'm 79 and I work on his stuff too. My son has a few as well. The shops a mess and yes it's a little overwhelming at times but I don't like to get rid of anything and I like them all.

Does an ever growing pile of parts that may one day be a traditional hotrod count as a project?

I would say yes, most complete cars during the build process are a pile of parts at some point. Unfortunately some never get out of that stage for many.

  18. I back burnered my 29 Tudor, there is a 27 roadster up in the mezzanine. I have a 29 closed cab pickup stashed as well. Currently working on the lakester in my avatar but the main project is my 51 GMC truck that will replace my daily and be used as a hauler for said lakester.

I pulled a '36 Ford pickup out of a barn a few years ago. I have it stored now, my 12 year old grandson wants to build it for his first project. My brother was behind the wheel when we pulled it out.

Bone stock 31 Model A that I bought and towed back from California.
to my home in Louisiana. An adventure in itself! Still not sure of the
fate for this one. It is a really nice car and it may or may not get
    modified?
Also a 32 3 window Ford coupe and a really nice genie chassis for this one.
It is rougher than some, but better than most I have encountered.
My sons first vehicle I bought him for high school a 65 chevy short bed.
He is now 34 he was 17 then.
At the moment I am deep into a 40 Ford coupe that is eating my lunch
and bank account at an alarming rate!
I do have enough motors trans and rear ends to power the fleet. It time I am short of!
The 40 will be finished to at least driving condition this year, or else!
The others I will have to see if I have the drive to even attempt another
build. They may become a part of my retirement fund?

I can only do one at a time,,, myself I can't see piling up unrealistic expectations. The '48 sedan delivery will keep me busy for a couple years

  29. My "next up" is my "first up," as it has taken me 41 years to get to this point. I will retire Feb. 27, so the "time and money" excuse will now be cut in half. I've got to build an express bed for it, and either build or buy a 351 Windsor, but I'll get there soon. Got any good express bed photos/specs?
