Thank you Speed v8, Baumi and Hogman for the compliments!

After spending a whole morning lining up the front fenders and getting the gaps perfect, it was time to get some paint on the body. The black paint is being used to find the low spots after it's been sanded, which will start this week. Perfection takes time!

Here you can see how good the gaps are now around the trunk. Very happy with that!

    Looks great,Eric!
I am sure that the gaps are a lot better, than they were when your car rolled out of the factory.

Thanks Antti! The gaps are better but I'm sure they didn't spend this much time on them!

Looking good. Takes a lot off priming and block sanding to get it straight. Like quite a few others fell off the site with the big upgrade. Started back on my 47'and will post upgrades in the near future. Keep up the good work

Looking good, Eric! I worked on mine this weekend and finally got my DS front fender to fit right and removed a hump that was in it. Had to do some "slicing and dicing" and lots of shrinking disc work but finally got it right.

More sanding of the body has commenced and the hood is on the car now. Still some minor aligning to do.....

  26. Looking good Eric . I wish I was that far into my build . We be watching . Later , Andy...

  27. Eric, its looking like the end is in sight ...........just a question...............are you going to use the original headlights and grille moldings as I noticed the stock headlight openings and grille pressings still in place?...........extremely nice work by everyone involved...............Andy Douglas

Thanks Andy! I've been watching a lot of builds over the years and had the same thoughts. Somehow it motivated me to continue, be it at a slower but steady pace. Still watching your build Andy!

Thanks Andy! I'm trying to help with body work, but only to a small extend. Some things need to be done by the professionals.

With regard to the headlights and moldings: The original headlights will be used and only a few of the grill moldings. (the heart shape and the two vertical ones running down from the hood. ) This will keep it minimalistic and still look good. I hope.

It may look good but the hood still needs adjusting in order to get the gaps perfect. I know, details, details.
