Builder & Designer: Bear Metal Kustoms Inc. (Jason Pall)

    Location: Morro Bay, California

Interior: Jimmy Z of Cayucos, California, created the roadster's interior using rich brown leather from a Mercedes. A smoothed 1932 Ford dashboard and a Studebaker gauge panel sit inside the car.

Body Modifications: The build team replaced both of the car's front cowl panels, modified the top of the cowl and shaved the gas filler. The front stanchion area was smoothed and blended into the belt line. The custom hood and rear decklid were louvered to follow the lines of the custom Oakland grille that the shop fabricated for the car. The body of the car was channeled over the frame 4 inches.

Powertrain: The car runs on a small-block Chevy V-8 (305) engine with a custom 3 x 2 intake (3x Rochester 2G's) and T-5 five-speed transmission. The car also features an original Schroeder sprint car steering box. Drum brakes were used in the rear and disc brakes in the front.

Tires & Wheels: The roadster rolls on Hurst Super Cushion tires in the front and Hurst Cheater Slicks (sized 28 x 8.5 x 15) in the rear. E-T Wheels' “Gassers” wheels were used in the front, while the company's “Fuelers” were used for the rear.

A bare bones hot rod with a modern drivetrain (WC T5) with traditional touches in an "art deco" theme (Electroline 2200 Headlights, Electroline Taillights, Pathfinder Deluxe center light and louvered hood).
The roadster was built to be driven, that being said, it was also built for the taller driver (min 5' 10" to 6' 5", if you are a leggy 6' 4"+ it may be a tight fit, I am right around 6' 2" and it's perfect).

The roadster has won her fair share of shows (LB Motorama/LB Ink n Iron, GNRS), while having the pleasure of gracing the cover of several magazines and being featured within many more.
