Yeah, I moved the coil overs up to the top hole instead of the bottom, and tightened them up quite a bit. No more bottoming out issues, but looks kind of funny being so jacked up. My try out the center hole and try to dial in the ride a little. Pretty rough right now.

I was having some death wobble issues, so I ordered on of those so cal stabilizers. While I was under there, I checked the alignment..... it was 2" towed in...... whoops! So we dialed it in to about 1/8" or so and now she is runnin smooth!

Glad to hear, don't need any "death wobble", did you use the stabilizer or did the toe take care of the problem...Jim

Just FYI, you can spend $45 on the So Cal version or $20 from a VW place.

Thanks, yeah I looked into that but I didn't know what kind of attachments they had on the ends, so I bit the bullet and ordered the so-cal one.

White Hall,AR??? Thats almost as bad as Little Rock,AR!!! lol I had a few minutes to get on the HAMB and started reading your thread. Someday I'll tackle one of these builds. I have a '64 Buick Wildcat parts car that will be the power plant and front brake set up. Too many ahead of that to be thinking about ??? Looking good and good luck with the finishing touches!!!

I had to bribe her with play-doh and hot wheels the first time, but she loves to go for rides in daddy's old car now! Love that little girl!

Awesome! Congrats! On that steering wheel I have an old superior wheel I picked up at the swap meet for 2$ I wrapped it in that tape you buy at autozone thats for road side repairs. It sticks to its self and its not tacky on anything else but it works great.

Thanks!!! Yeah I went ahead and wrapped the whole wheel with the hockey tape. It's working pretty good. May re-wrap it with some of that black "rubber tape" so it has a little more "girth" to hold onto. I'll check out that tape at Autozone next time. Thanks!!

Thanks Jim!!! It is so fun, every time I look over she has a smile on her face. We got home on Saturday and she just looked at me and I asked her if she wanted to go in or keep riding..... she said no, keep riding!!!! May little sidekick!

Man that little girl is my whole world! She just loves doing stuff with daddy. We washed my truck together the other day, what a good time. Had to talk her into gong back inside for lunch.

The GM crate from Summit at <$1600 seems really worth the money, and they have free shipping, at least for now.

So far so good .... knock on wood.... there was LOTS of metal shavings in it the first two times I changed the oil. I have a bout 200 miles on it now and am about to change the oil again. But shoot I wasn't so happy the first time I changed the oil. And it only has a one year warranty if you put it in... which is about to / has already run out......

My little girl said "Daddy too loud.... too loud" And I agree. It is fun to the store and back, but not for a 45 min commute!

Thru some thrush turbo mufflers, and out the back, under the rearend. Sounds perfect, good grumble from the back and no drone inside! rh.jpg
