Public wasn't quite ready for the pickup/car combination yet, I guess, so then they did the El Camino next....they should have went straight to the El Camino in 55, that would have been much cooler. ;):p:D:)

Probably partially my fault, I am the one that talked about Chevy should have built the El Camino starting in 55. It is a very nice looking 55 so it isn't a problem for me. :)

No problem 59Apachegail. These conversions are always interesting. This picture with my old 58 Chevy includes my current 56 EL conversion and a current and former 37 Chevy.

I'm not sure I can say that I have a favorite among them, the following all appeal to me a lot.

The interior is undergoing a makeover during the winter, the console has gone. I'll post a new interior picture when it's done

Started to buy this one, but looked like it would need too much work.

I sure like what I saw in your jalopy journal thread. Don't pay any attention to the nay sayers I have heard it all on my roadster build. I would have quit if I cared about their opinions. keep us up to date on your build

1958_chevrolet_biscayne-pic-48994.jpeg Put a 348 or Nailhead Buick in this one. Add a tow-go rear suspension for pulling a small camper or trailer holding 2 HD's.
