Fred Cain ran Lyon covers on his 40 coupe in 1952 if not before.

  3. I believe this imitation wire wheel cap by Lyon was produced in the early 50's...

Glendale, saw those on ebay. Don't think those are Lyons, the crest is different and is removeable.

Look like a set of made by a company called Calnevar. They were available with different crest centers.

I recently grabbed a set from a buddy. I have wanted them for my car forever. They snapped in nice and firm, but does anyone know what the chances are of these things flying off? The Chromesides I had on before were so tight it never crossed my mind.

I curious, what's the diameter of the hole in the center of the caps? Trying to imagine what center cap would fit in there? Looks kinda small.

that's a small opening to have a have a dog dish style cap fit in there. Even a Ford V8 cap as small as it is fits in a 5 3/5" hole.

I wonder if yours originally came with a center that you could swap to another style?

They'd be great to run on the back of a car running skirts where you can't see the center anyway.

There's a left and right side designed to scoop air in to cool your brakes.

IMG_4788.JPG Any one have one of these they are willing to part with? 16" scum bag hit it pulling into a parking spot. I know this isn't in the wanted ads but I figure the guys interested in this thread might be most likely to have a spare?...
