My 5w now. But it was built in the late 60s not the 50s in Colorado by Don Coleman. This is Don in early 70s with my 5w. He did a super job on the coupe. Don painted it shiny black in 72 and then painted this color in 85 by the next owner. It has not changed much except paint and more chrome since it was built
Lynn Yakel's coupe, which I'm pretty sure was owned by Vic Tuttle in Tulsa, OK by the mid 1950s. It was in grey primer by then. My '32 sedan is strongly influenced by it!
this is my 32 coupe. it was built in the early 50's around boston,ma. it has a a 3&3/8 by 4&1/8 flathead with a 26 tooth trans. this car was stored for many years until i was lucky enough to buy it.
Yes, it does. Its nice, though I can't take any credit for it. But it still needs the changes we discussed before about the fenders and some other minor things. I am still going to redo it more like what I had intended for it way back in the 80s.
A LOT of good pictures on this thread,.... quite a few of exactly what your looking for. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/threads/32-ford-5w-picture-thread.437955/
Man that looks like something running around Stamford CT. (where I grew up) back in the 50's. Love it!
Here is one I built but never finished the body or completed the interior. However drove the wheels off of it. I bought the car out of White Plains N.Y.. It was a mess with what looked like many attempts to built it. It had a 370 Pontiac motor. I did the entire car over running a Corvette motor trans and 55-57 Chevy rear. Car is still in CT. I sold it to a friend and he had the body & interior completed Then after some years started taking it apart for a redo. Now I get a call from his son that they want to put it back together. Would I be interested? Only if I could buy it back! Man look at those fat tires! View attachment 2806869
Well, I'm glad SOME of the cars posted were built in the 1950's! Most are not. Are thread titles this meaningless?
