Would you sell your avatar?

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by lowcoe, Jan 11, 2015.

  1. It always makes me think twice when I see a car for sale and then it catches my eye that it's the sellers' pride and joy because it's their avatar. Would you sell your avatar? If you did put it up for sale, wouldn't you then, immediately, change your avatar to your dog or something?? Or even better change your avatar before listing the car?

I still have my old car for my avatar. Have not changed it because I'm lazy and I would have to figure out how to change it.

I'd sell it in a minute, once I get glass in the side windows, finish the wiring and do something to the interior I want it gone. The wife wanted a shoebox, but then found that she was more interested in metal sculpture so.....she spends every night in the stall to the left of the 49 cutting and welding, making neat things, that sell, she'd like to have the space to expand into, and that's OK with me. I'd trade for a roadster and get rid of the bike, at 70 years of age four wheels might be safer:)

  10. I sure would!!! There's a few other cars I like a lot and would find one. There are plenty of things to use for an avatar. Tim

I can't sell the ones in my avatar............only one is mine, the other two belong to my Sons. :) But I will never sell mine either..........had it too long and too many miles spent having fun together.

I know a lot of people say there isn't enough money in the world to buy their car, but in my case, there isn't.

  16. I traded the car in my avitar in on a new Ford in 1963. You can have the avitar for 50 cents.

Yes. I already did. I miss it, but selling has enable us to move forward with several other new, exciting projects. It'll always be my car anyway, so it doesn't matter if I own it or not.

SURE! Does anyone really think I'll finish it, or run one wire in it? Bob

I have changed my avitar a few times for no real reason. I never seem to sell anything so they are all still valid.

The car went to the crusher after being wrecked 31 years ago. The good taillight went to another collector. The pumps have long since been removed from the gas station. The station has changed hands a couple times and is now fenced off.
So? Nothing left to sell but memories, and I'm keeping those.

  28. Very nice avatar chrisbcritter, timeless and classic with much sentimental value...

But You can't play cause it would be impossible to find that ride in the "cars for sale" section.

    Sorry for your loss...

I guess I could see an avatar of the one that got away.... From years gone by. I'm talking about here and now it just feels weird to me. But I probably do think too much..
