Motion Pictures Footage of Chicago in the 40's

    Sorry if this has been posted before, but this is a pretty cool story about some found footage that turned out to be a thorough promotional video of Chicago in the 40s. Its got some nice shots of cruising down Lakeshore, State and Michigan among lots of other stuff. I thought I saw some black plates and also some red plates, so maybe some shots are from 45 and others from 46?

  2. What a great travelogue, thanks for posting it. You see these sorts of street scenes from New York or Los Angeles pretty regularly, but it's less common to see them from the heart of the midwest like this one. :cool:
