This movie documents Chris Rusch's Hot Rod build over a 4 day period late in 2014. All tube chassis fabrication, metal shaping, bead rolling, shrinking and stretching, grinding, shearing and bending of the metal was performed on Baileigh industrial equipment. The incredibly talented group of builders include Chris Rusch, Jimmy Shine, Bob Bleed, Mike Wagner, Kyle Yocum, Chris Pribbernow, Troy Temme, Dylon Rusch and Mark Gerish. Filmed by Shane Henderson

Pretty amazing what talented fabricators can do with the right equipment! Drive train may be a little OT, but I bet it's gonna' be a screamer. Bring on episode II! Thanks for posting, Shane!

Actually came into the shop to work today, but sometimes the computer is really interesting, and that was pretty outstanding. Thanks.

While the drive train might be OT, this is a great example of hot rodders thinking outside the box.

Nice to have the nice tools to work with! I manage with the basic stuff from Harbor Freight and a Miller Syncrowave 200 TIG machine. If my geezer memory is any good I think I'm on my 5th "Chung-ho" H-F 4 1/2" grinder.... I start with a template made out of a Coca-Cola box and lay it out with a Sharpie marker & go to work on it with a slitting disc. Throw on some nice radii with a flap wheel & it looks Comercially made.... Hot rodding is a good pastime!

I had been thinking about doing the same thing to my rear wheel wells and quarters. I love seeing master craftsmen at work!

  17. That's some neat stuff.

Running that huge powerhammer with a 1/2 assed hold on the sheet and bracing it between the shoulder and jugular made my asshole pucker

making that quarter on the powerhammer was cool.

with that frame hanging down it looks like it ran over a ladder. very bizzare way to do things

    Great video!
Can anyone give more info on the thinking behind the shape of the primaries - looks like a sort of expansion chamber an inch or two from the ports?

Here is the new floor structure for the Model A, will be welded to the body shortly. Turned out real good, and it's super strong! The project has been pretty much on hold for most of the summer, although we are making some progress on the induction.
