Looking for some advice, I have a 29 Model A Coupe. I have a 8BA fitted in the rails and was just wondering by experience what is the best fitting radiator to put in? Is there one that fits the original grill? Say a '48 Ford car. Just as a example.
Perfect thank you, I didn't even realize they made that style in the 29'. Also good to hear someone else from WI here!
1966g10....are you not on Speedways mailing list??? call them for a catalog,,.nothing against Walker, but they are the highest priced radiators on the market...I always used U S Radiator...
Or if your Model A rad is in good shape have a shop add a pair of upper inlets and a new p/s lower outlet.
i bought a alum radiator for a friends 28 a with a flathead off ebay for $189 free shiping and i painted it black. im sure it came from overseas but i sat it beside a afco from speedway same radiator except for the afco painted on it with a stencil car runs cool have been running it about 2 years so i bought another for my t im happy with it i couldn't afford to give 600 for a radiator i checked they have gone up to 225 but still a good deal
Ford 5000 tractor radiator fits the '28-'29 shell pretty darn good. Hardly any of the tank shows at top and bottom. Must be modified for flathead regards to outlets and inlets, but they can be had in copper and brass for under $200.00 new shipped. Beats aluminum IMHO and the expense of the Walker. Andy
